<image:caption>BMC® & Yoga is a deep, internal study of the body and movement. Our workshops and immersion series, explore the practice of yoga through key principles of the body systems, developmental movement, and the direct experience of the tissues and cells. They open a door to the transformative aspects of yoga, and take asanas from an external approach into the subtleties of the yoga practice. Discover new aspects of the postures from the perspective of different body systems Experience greater depth, ease and flow of movement in forming traditional yoga asanas Develop a yoga practice based on personal needs and abilities Explore sequential relationships between postures from a developmental perspective Observe and analyze the movement of others using this subtle and dynamic perspective Illuminate new aspects of yoga</image:caption>

<image:title>EMBODIED DEVELOPMENTAL MOVEMENT AND THE SKELETAL SYSTEM - EMBODIED DEVELOPMENTAL MOVEMENT & THE SKELETAL SYSTEM: A Dynamic Approach to Alignment and Sequencing</image:title>
<image:caption>Exploring the Basic Neurocellular Patterns (BNP) creates a fuller three-dimensional sense of self. You will find them valuable in asana practice for creating integrated patterns of movement, and expanding your knowledge of building asanas and sequences from a developmental perspective. The bones create our basic foundation, they lever us through space and support our weight in relationship with gravity. The BNP enliven and support the skeletal system with clear pathways and relationships between the spine and limbs, and freedom of the central axis. This series will explore the key skeletal principles of the lower limbs, upper limbs, and central axis. Adding the support of the Neurocellular patterns as we grow our practice from the ground to standing. The three series will focus on the following: • New approaches to alignment and sequencing using Body-Mind Centering® principles. • Greater depth of movement, ease and flow in forming asanas. • Exploring sequential relationships between postures from a developmental and skeletal perspective. • How to recognize compensatory patterns, and ways to alleviate them when they occur. Body-Mind Centering® principles applied to yoga expand our understanding and ability to embody, through which we can create a more unified life and practice for ourselves and others.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Our organs are part of our internal environment and inform our movement. The vitality of our organs is reflected in our external form. The organs are the contents, offering volume, fluidity, and three dimensionality. Through movement they countersupport and balance each other. When embodied they illuminate internal relationships and connectivity, from inner to outer expression, and support for the limbs and spine. This series will explore how the organs express organic flow, and new pathways of connection and alignment within our practice. Classes are based on Body-Mind Centering® foundations, as a basis for experiencing ourselves in the practice of yoga.</image:caption>

<image:title>ENDOCRINE GLANDS AS CRYSTALLINE ENERGY - EMBODYING THE ENDOCRINE GLANDS AS UNIVERSAL CRYSTALLINE ENERGY IN THE PRACTICE OF YOGA</image:title>
<image:caption>The endocrine glands are the major chemical governing system of the body and are closely aligned with the nervous system. Their secretions pass directly into the blood stream and their balance or imbalance influences all of the cells in the body. The glands create crystalline psychophysical states through which we are able to experience and understand the universal aspect of self. This is the system of internal stillness, surges or explosions of chaos/balance and the crystallization of energy into archetypal experiences. The endocrine glands underlie intuition and the perceiving and understanding of the Universal Mind. This series will explore how the endocrine system expresses itself, and new pathways of somatic awareness and alignment in our practice. They guide our interaction with gravity and space, our sense of self, our relationship with others and the environment. Each movement pattern is a reference point to experientially explore and gain insights into your practice. They provide a valuable insight into gaps in integration and alignment, and new perspectives on sequencing and asana choice. Once fully embodied they allow us to enter with more ease into the fullness of our being, and to live our lives with greater confidence, flexibility and presence.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Basic Neurocellular Patterns establish a foundation on which we build our movement, physical, perceptual, emotional and cognitive process.

<image:title>THE DYNAMICS OF BREATHING: The Embodiment of Breath & Pranayama - THE DYNAMICS OF BREATHING: THE EMBODIMENT OF BREATH & PRANAYAMA</image:title>
<image:caption>From our early beginnings in utero the process of internal respiration creates pathways of connectivity throughout the body that guide our early development of self. These set the baseline for later external respiration, when we exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide directly with the outer world. Body-Mind Centering@ brings a new expanded awareness to the practice of breathing and pranayama, moving beyond a technical approach, to an embodied experience of respiration in its many forms.</image:caption>
