Lisa Clark

Lisa Clark, Certified Body-Mind Centering® Teacher, Infant Developmental Movement Educator, Registered Somatic Movement Educator & Therapist, ERYT500, EAY/EDMY, and Yoga Teacher.

Lisa is the Founder/Director of EmbodiYoga® which offers the School for Body-Mind Centering® Yoga Immersion Series. She was Program Coordinator and Co-Teacher with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen for the first Embodied Anatomy & Yoga (EAY) and Embodied Developmental Movement & Yoga (EDMY) Programs in Amherst, MA; Program Director of the EAY Program in Berlin Germany; Program Director for the BMC℠ & Yoga Immersion Series: Foundations in Embodied Anatomy at the Dallas Yoga Center, Texas. Lisa has also been faculty for the Somatic Movement Educator (SME) Program in Brazil, Uruguay, USA, and is Co-Program Director of the Somatic Movement Educator Program in Taiwan.

Amy Matthews

Amy Matthews, BMC Teacher, IDME, CMA, RSMT/RSME has been teaching workshops and courses in the US and internationally since 1994. She is a Certified Body-Mind Centering® Teacher, an Infant Developmental Movement Educator, a Certified Laban Movement Analyst, and a movement therapist and yoga teacher.

Amy is the Program Director of Sonder Movement Project, which offers the Somatic Movement Educator and Infant Developmental Movement Educator programs for the School of Body-Mind Centering, and is the co-founder and co-director, with Sarah Barnaby, of Babies Project in NYC – an in-person and online space dedicated to developmental movement for babies, toddlers, adults and elders.

Amy taught with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen in Berkeley CA, and was on the faculty of the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies for 10 years. She also co-authored with Leslie Kaminoff the book Yoga Anatomy. Visit Amy’s website at www.embodiedasana.com

Roxlyn Moret

Roxlyn Moret RSME, CMA, and ERYT500, is a Body-Mind Centering® Teacher and Practitioner, living in NYC. Roxlyn was Program Coordinator and Faculty for the School for Body-Mind Centering® Embodied Developmental Movement & Yoga (EDMY), and Embodied Anatomy & Yoga (EAY), at the Breathing Project, NYC; Program Coordinator and Faculty for the BMC Practitioner Program at the Kinesthetic Learning Center, Durham, NC. She also assisted and co-taught with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen in her EAY and EDMY programs in NYC 2005-2007 and in Berkeley 2008-2010.

Roxlyn has been exploring and teaching movement, yoga, chi gung and BMC for 44 years. She has an active private practice, teaches group yoga classes, conducts workshops for professionals in the United States and Europe. You can read more about Roxlyn Moret at

Patty Townsend

Patty Townsend, ERYT500, completed the School for Body-Mind Centering® Embodied Anatomy & Yoga (EAY), and Embodied Developmental Movement & Yoga (EDMY) Program in Amherst, MA.. She is the founder of Embodyoga®, an inclusive and fully embodied approach to yoga developed out of over 50 years of dedicated practice, and 20 years of intimate study with her current teacher Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen. Nina Wehnert

Nina Wehnert is a Body-Mind Centering® Teacher and Practitioner, Dancer, and Somatic Movement Educator, who lives in Berlin, Germany.

She completed the School for Body-Mind Centering® Embodied Anatomy & Yoga (EAY) Program in Germany, and has taught Vinyasa yoga classes for more than 15 years. Nina teaches anatomy courses for yoga teachers at Yoga Sky and Kalaa Yoga, and offered her own Embodied Anatomy Training at Somatische Akademie in Berlin. Nina is faculty for Moveus BMC® SME Program, Germany, and has taught at the SME Program of Movimiento Atlas, Spain. She is also faculty of the Dance Training at Tanzfabirk, Berlin, where she offers ongoing classes.

 

Michal Yarkoni

Michal Yarkoni is a Body-Mind Centering® Practitioner, she also completed the Embodied Anatomy and Yoga (EAY), Embodied Developmental Movement and Yoga (EDMY), and Infant Developmental Movement Education (IDME) programs with The School for Body-Mind Centering®.

Michael is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, living and practicing in Israel.

With over 20 years of experience practicing yoga and other somatic modalities, Michal brings to her teaching and therapy sessions her sincere passion, curiosity and love for understanding the body, movement and the ways embodiment supports growth and healing.

Bob Lehnberg

Bob Lehnberg is a Certified Body-Mind Centering® Teacher, EAY (Embodied Anatomy and Yoga (EAY), Embodied Developmental Movement and Yoga (EDMY), Registered Somatic Movement Educator, and Qigong Teacher.

He has been studying and teaching somatic work, yoga, and qigong since 1984, is a co-founder of Kinesthetic Learning Center and has served on the faculty since its inception in 2007 until 2018. He is Program Co-Director of the Somatic Movement Educator Program in Taiwan, and Course Coordinator for Esprit en Mouvement in Montreal, CA.

He has been teaching in schools of massage therapy and programs of somatic training since 1990 and has had the good fortune to teach BMCsm and somatic practices throughout the US and internationally in Europe, Canada, China, and Taiwan.


Gale Turner

Gale Turner is a Certified Body Mind Centering® Teacher and Practitioner. She was first introduced to Bonnie's work in 1974 and has continued her BMC practice through to the present. For more than 30 years she taught in the SBMC Certification Programs in the US and Europe. She has worked closely with Bonnie over these years and has been involved in the development of the core material. Beginning in the mid 1980’s Gale was one of the first teachers to bring BMC to Europe.

Gale created and performed in numerous theatrical production as part of Meredith Monk/The House Company in NYC. Her life long involvement in the field of Movement and Performing Arts has greatly influenced her approach to teaching BMC.

Gale continues to be amazed and grateful to be part of the ongoing evolution of Body Mind Centering®
